Dating in DC: Sarah’s ready to dish, one video a day till Christmas

sarahreynolds.substack.com

This series of 25 days of videos will be comprised of short videos, just me telling you all a story of my amorous adventures in our Nation’s capitol, one per day until Christmas Day when I will share with you my idea for a dating app (plus one last dating story).

This project is meant to complement my regular substack posts that will remain essay-style.

Without further ado, I shall answer the question: Is Love At First Site Real?

(In today and tomorrow’s videos I recount the two times I experienced love at first site here in DC.)

Guy number one.... Did you tell him he was a stinkbug?

I think love at first sight is TOTALLY possible. It happens to me all the time. ;)

Congrats! Even if it doesn't work out, you remember what worked and can build on that. I met an awesome woman at the start of con-vid and like y'all we didn't care for the games of dating, we just wanted to meet people and get to know them.

I don't like the idea of love at first sight. Enamored by his personality and looks, yes. But love takes time!

I prefer "oatmeal love" which nourishes... I forget which book that came from, sorry!

In the movie Tanya (about the skater on Hulu?) ... Her mom mentions the difference between gardeners and flowers in relationships. She didn't mention when two gardeners meet because she saw her daughter as a flower (but she wasn't, it was what her mom wanted her to be, a champion).

Here's a good story to read how true love is possible even in a forced marriage.
