Dear readers, this might be the best idea I’ve ever had. After 4 years of Trump/Vance, RFK Jr could run for President with Trump as his VP. I think it would take at least a decade of MAGA and MAHA to fully undo the divide and conquer psy-op conducted against our country over the past 20+ years. So after we’ve had Trump and Vance for 4 years, RFK Jr could run for President with Trump as Vice President in 2028 (and win, and then win again in 2032).
RFK Jr. is the quintessential Sigma Male while Trump is your archetypical Alpha male. Where RFK Jr is an idealist, Trump is a pragmatist. The reason that the two of them ought to run together is because where sigmas inspire idealism and admiration, alphas inspire voting — and I do mean, the basic act that is required to put someone into elected office; that is to say, motivating [often lazy or selfish] human beings to show up to the polls and actually cast a ballot. That’s Alpha Trump. He gets people to move. Alpha males are tough on the outside and mushy goo on the inside; with sigma males, it's the inverse of that. Sigma males are the iron fist inside the satin glove: they’re steel on the inside, and warm and friendly and charming and idealistic and happy on the outside. It doesn’t get any more sigma than RFKJ or any more alpha than DJT.
But.
And.
We need them both.
And we need them both, together.
My hypothesis is that it’s a matter of time (10+ years of time) of making our country so awesome (“great again”) that people won’t be able to deny that life is good. So good that they can’t help but compare their current lives to the experiences they’ve had as Americans in the past, contrast them, and then draw a conclusion — on their own, independently, without any suggestion — that their lives are measurably better and that the world and our country are also measurably more awesome.
Now, initially, I looked at the crux of the root of the division in our country and the way people have been triggered to hate — to literally be overcome with contempt as if someone had hypnotized them to feel the emotion hate any time they think of Trump and Trump supporters (remember that was the key, to make his supporters even more reviled) — and I had an OK idea to create concise counterpoint videos on TikTok with which to refute people's Trump Derangement Syndrome-based objections, via a duet or a stitch (duets and stiches are direct response videos that tag the original creator and allow people to have a dialogue in real time). Something to the effect of: But wait, what about the First Step Act? What about how activists like myself and others were trying to get Obama to pull us out of the job-killing Trans-Pacific Partnership for years, something Trump did his second day in office? What about how we were all devastated by what NAFTA did to the middle class? And how Trump renegotiated it? What about the Abraham Accords? All of the good things that Trump accomplished, these multiple measurable successes?
But then I remembered two things my parents taught me. My dad used to say that if you are using logic to reach illogical people, then you are the one who's being unreasonable. And then my mom would follow up with: and that's why every government in the history of the world has used emotion through propaganda to induce in the masses, their citizens, a particular desire. Because if people think that they want something, they will demand it all on their own without ever being told (forced) to comply.
I’m glad those memories and Jo and Tom’s wise words (rest in peace) came to mind. It helped me remember that all the facts and statistics in the world can’t penetrate a closed mind, and the mind won’t open until the heart does. My duets and stiches would fail to thrive. Sure, fickle minds can change — and then change back. The art of persuasion pales in comparison to tangibly improving people’s lives.
It took 16 years of Bush and Obama to slowly slide the Democrat party into the slot (pit) of endless war, censorship, and hate, and another eight to normalize its metastasis from coast to coast, from heart to American heart, until the breaking point was reached. Will breakdown be alchemized into breakthrough? It can be. I posit that it would take at least a decade under the leonine leadership of Trump and the avuncular wisdom of Kennedy to restore the American spirit of desire for freedom from tyranny, surveillance, war-mongering, and bureaucracy.
